Jude | Digital Butter » I had a takeaway from there a couple of weeks ago. Was a little slow coming out (took around 40 mins) but the food was all fairly good. Portions are a little smaller than I would have expected, but not unreasonably so. Staff were very friendly, and the prices are reasonable - can't remember exactly but got something like four starters, three mains, naan, rice and four cans of coke and got change for $500.

We were encouraged to be told that it would take 30 minutes to arrive, in fact it took 50 which we agreed was a much more realistic time frame!

We ordered the dinner for 2 which in fairness gives you a good amount of food but I would make a number of comments.
-The portion of rice was very small, I would normally expect more rice for just myself, let alone 2 people.
-Although Naan (or an alternative choice of Onion Bread) comes with the set, I ordered more Garlic Naan as well, and this was a good thing as again the portions are on the light side also.
-They do give you quite a wide selection of items and it was considerably cheaper than if we ordered a la carte, but one should be aware that if you like to eat a lot, and like the fillers such as rice and bread, I would order additional.

On food quality we were quite happy. The chicken curry (type not specified) was a little bland but nice enough. The Chicken Tikka was succulent and flavorful, and came with (a little bit of) very nicely marinated onions. Samosas were nice also, accompanied with mint sauce. The Alloo Gobhi (apologies for spelling) mixed curried vegetables were nicely balanced. The Lamb Kebab sausage (can't remember the name) was a little dry. The plain Naan, and additional Garlic Naan hit the spot, and we ordered additional Poppadoms which were very nice, but a very small portion!

Overall as a different delivery option in Discovery Bay we enjoyed it a lot, even though with the extras it worked out a shade under $300. We will definitely be ordering again in the future.
